website for ceremonial and collector’s blades is up and running!
June 10, 2009 on 5:14 pm | In Wicca/Paganism/Metaphysics, friends | No CommentsMy friend Stefan’s website for ceremonial and collector’s blades is up and running! If your form of magickal practice and spirit invocation includes the use of tools such as an athame or ceremonial sword, this is the place to buy from, he’ll give you a good deal (make sure to mention you heard about it here). His main site is http://quality-blades.com, and he is in the process of setting up an eBay store, as well. He also sells figurines, among them dragons and fairies, that in my opinion would make great focuses for anchoring spirits and elementals. If there is something in particular you are looking for, contact him through his website and he will find it for you.
BB,
Vivienne

Witches’ Meet Up event: Meet Your Spirit Guides
June 2, 2009 on 3:22 pm | In Wicca/Paganism/Metaphysics, friends | No CommentsThe Second Market Shopping video is almost done!
April 19, 2009 on 12:30 pm | In friends, second market shopping | No CommentsA couple of tweaks to fix, then all that’s left to do is export the audio to Audacity so I can clean up the audio; get together with Tinka next weekend to put in the final text balloon comments; and lastly, clean up the video. And it’s done! So within a couple/three weeks it should be available.
I’m also working on researching some of the topics referenced in the video (like art glass, vintage jewelry, etc.) to create white papers for bonus materials. There will be several of those.
I hope to get some preview clips up soon as well, to give people a taste of the great information contained in this video.
So keep checking back at Second Market Shopping for updates, or sign up here to be notified when the video is available:
Coming Soon: Modern Day Shamanism as taught by Stefan Druigonus
April 12, 2009 on 2:43 pm | In Wicca/Paganism/Metaphysics, friends | No CommentsMy friend Stefan will soon be setting up a web page offering classes in modern-day shamanism. As soon as the website is set up I will be posting here to let you all know, and in the meantime you can check out the page I set up for him by clicking the “modern-day shamanism” tab at the top of the page.
His knowledge is voluminous, and he is a wonderful teacher; he already has a large amount of content put together, we just need to get his website up and running so he can start sharing it.
Stefan will teach you how to get in touch with your inner self, become more aware of your surroundings, and learn how to better handle today’s stresses. Recognize people from your past lives to reconnect with old friends, and make new ones on the astral plane.
Materials will include video classes, audio files, articles, multi-media coursework, and more.
Subjects covered:
- astral travel
- psychic self defense
- animal totems
- dreamwalking
- incense making
- basic herbalism
- making soaps/oils/baths
- tarot
- energy exchange and psy work
- healing
- working with spirits and spirit guides
- past life regression
and lots more.
I’m really looking forward to seeing his website; I hope to have his first video posted here soon, on incense making.
BB,
Vivienne

$300 Oleg Cassini blouse for $5!
April 8, 2009 on 10:20 am | In Goth, friends, second market shopping | No CommentsAnother great find I made while yard sale-ing was this beautiful Oleg Cassini blouse. My friend “Tinka” saw it in one of the thrift stores we visited and showed me, telling me it would retail for around $300.00. It was being sold for $5! “Do you want it?” she asked me. “Absolutely!” I declared, without a moment’s hesitation. I have never seen such beautiful bead work on an article of clothing — the collar and sleeves are literally dripping with stunning black bead work.
I’ve got video of this item too — I’ll try to get it posted soon to SecondMarketShopping.com

Psychic friend of mine to appear on radio tomorrow
February 12, 2009 on 1:15 pm | In Wicca/Paganism/Metaphysics, friends | 1 CommentMy friend and a very talented psychic, Kim Wade, will be on the radio here in Central Florida tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at 1pm EST. She’d like as many friendly people as possible to listen and call in for moral support. From Kim:
Here I go again with my mission to clarify psychic phenomenon to the masses. I will be on Talk Radio 104.1 on Friday the 13th. (This Friday) 1PM The Shannon Burke Show. From the response I got from the show I am expecting this show to be a lot tougher on skepticism than the radio program I did on Halloween. Please tune in and maybe call if you feel inclined. I might be doing phone readings on the air, I am not sure, I know I am reading the disc jockies.
Have a listen, it’s bound to be fun; Kim has a great sense of humor and she’s quite gifted.

Vivienne
Big Band Music – “The Escorts” of Central Florida are a great band!
September 19, 2008 on 12:42 pm | In Goth, friends | 8 CommentsGot together with my friend Willa of Witch and Wizard last night, at Holly & Dolly’s, our favorite watering hole. There was a great “Big Band” playing — “The Escorts.” They drew a huge, very enthusiastic crowd and everyone had a lot of fun!
I mention it because I know there are lots of other Goths out there who, like me, really enjoy the Big Band sound and the music of the 30s and 40s, particularly. The Escorts played Glenn Miller, a McGuire Sisters number (with reference to Arthur Godfrey, who discovered them), “New York, New York,” and at our request played “Moonlight Serenade” and a medley that included “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree with Anyone Else But Me” (one of my favorite WWII tunes and particularly poignant with everything that’s going on in Iraq. They also played Tony Orlando’s “Tie A Yellow Ribbon” earlier in the evening). They closed the evening with a Dixieland number that brought the house down. Couples were up jitterbugging, people were singing along, and one overenthusiastic lady kept shouting her request for “Torpedo Junction” (and kept shouting it, even though several of us tried to correct her and let her know that what she wanted was “Tuxedo Junction”).
The band members are all tremendously endearing, and their soloists are quite something! They have a woman playing sax and another on the keyboard; most of them are well over 50 and one member is a WWII vet who has been married for 61 years — both of which drew tremendous applause and cheers from the audience. The bandleader delighted in making corny jokes, and when he moved from a 40s number to a 50s rock and roll piece, his comment was, “from the sublime, to the silly.” He said they were very happy to be at Holly & Dolly’s that night. “But then, at our age, we’re happy to be anywhere!” That old chestnut got such a laugh that he threw in “Take my wife — please!” for good measure. I think that was his dryly witty way of commenting on how old the first joke was!
The Escorts unfortunately no longer have a website, but I spoke to the bandleader and got their phone number if anyone from the central Florida area would like to book them. They were a big hit, and drew a huge crowd, so particularly if you own a venue I highly recommend you book them for a gig. The leader’s name is George Skeet and his number is 407-239-1521. Tell him I sent you.

Vivienne
